저희 현대영어교육학회에서는 오는 7월 24일(금), 서울시립대학교에서 <Humans Think, AI Generates: Co-evolution in the Age of New Literacy>라는 주제로 2026년 정기학술대회를 개최합니다.
기술이 답을 내놓는 생성형 AI 시대를 지나며, 역설적으로 ‘인간의 사유'와 '성찰’의 가치는 더욱 소중해지고 있습니다. 이번 학술대회는 이러한 변화 속에서 우리 영어교육이 지켜내야 할 본질적인 문해력과 공존의 방향을 함께 고민해보고자 현장의 목소리를 담은 알차고 의미 있는 프로그램들로 준비하였습니다.

We hope you are having a productive and vibrant spring semester. We are pleased to announce that the 2026 MEESO Conference will be held on July 24, 2026 (Friday), at the University of Seoul. This year’s theme is "Humans Think, AI Generates: Co-evolution in the Age of New Literacy."
As we move beyond an era where generative AI merely provides answers, the value of 'human thought' and 'reflection' has become more precious than ever. This conference aims to explore the essential literacy and directions for co-evolution that English education must uphold in this changing landscape. We have prepared an enriching program that captures the voices of both researchers and practitioners.

- Keynote Speech: Prof. Sung Yeon Kim (Hanyang University) "New Literacy in the Era of Generative AI: Opened by AI and Fulfilled by Human Reflection"
- Plenary Session: Prof. Suh Keong Kwon (Seoul National University of Education)
- Special Session: AI-Powered Classroom Workshop – Prof. Hyun-Joo Oh (University of Seoul) & Se-Min Oh (Incheon Ieum Middle School)
- Graduate Student Round Table: A platform specifically designed for graduate students to share thesis ideas and ongoing research. We especially welcome presentations based on developed research proposals, aiming to foster practical academic exchange and networking.
